Google Ads management in Eaton County means competing inside the Lansing market without paying for all of it. Delta Township alone had 33,211 residents in 2024, more than Charlotte, Grand Ledge and Eaton Rapids combined, and part of Lansing itself lies inside the county.

Figures come from each client's published record, which states its reporting period and how results were measured. Past results belong to that client and are not a forecast.
Eaton County is part of the Lansing-East Lansing metro area, and 5,091 Lansing residents lived on the Eaton County side of the city in 2024. When you target Lansing in Google Ads, you get the whole city, including the much larger Ingham County side. For a contractor in Grand Ledge or Charlotte, that may be far more territory than you want. We build targeting from ZIP codes and named places so the ads follow your real service area.
The rest of the county is spread out. After Delta Township, the largest places in 2024 were Charlotte (9,301), Grand Ledge (7,838), Windsor Township (7,171) and Eaton Rapids (5,184), with Potterville, Olivet and Bellevue smaller still. A search for a plumber in Bellevue and one in Delta Township are not the same job, so we watch results by location and move budget toward the areas that book.
Incomes are solid, with a median household income of $73,130 in 2023, and the county's 2,182 establishments that year included 218 construction firms and 136 specialty trade contractors. That is not a huge local field, but Lansing companies bidding into the county add to it. Give each service its own campaign and you control which jobs the budget chases. Run everything together and Google spends on whatever is searched most, not what pays you most.
The first things we would work on, before spending more money on reach.
Target the Eaton County ZIP codes and places you serve, and add the Lansing side only as its own campaign if you want that work.
Separate budgets for each core service keep the high value work funded even when cheaper searches spike.
Count ad calls over a set length, form requests and booked jobs. Page views and button taps do not train the bidding.
Remove searches for jobs, how-to videos, parts and places you do not serve, every week in the first months.

Where we can help, and where to go next.
Clear terms before any work starts. Google Ads management has a six-month initial commitment, then runs month to month with 30 days written notice.

Often yes, but separately. Keep one campaign for your home area and a second one for Lansing, each with its own budget. Then you can compare what a booked job costs on each side and move money accordingly.
It can be, if the area and services are focused. The recommended minimum is $1,200 a month in ad spend, paid directly to Google. Pointed at a few services in your part of the county, that budget goes to the searches most likely to become your jobs.
Calls, forms and booked jobs from the ads, the cost of each, the searches that triggered them and what we changed. You also keep full access to the ad account, because it is yours.
Management starts with a 6-month commitment, then runs month to month with 30 days written notice. The ad account stays in your name the whole time, so your data and history go with you.
No strings attached. Choose a time, bring your questions and leave with a clearer next move.
