Web design in Muskegon County, MichiganMuskegon County web design for businesses that have outgrown a Facebook page.

Muskegon County web design often starts with a business that runs on Facebook. That works until a customer in Norton Shores or Whitehall searches Google and finds someone else. We hand code websites you own outright, quick on a phone and built to turn those searches into calls.

What Muskegon County customers need from your website

Muskegon County grew to 177,428 residents in 2024, up from 174,737 in 2020, and its 3,147 business establishments in 2023 included 523 retailers, 297 construction companies and 258 restaurants. Plenty of small, owner-run businesses build a following on social media first. That following is real, but it lives on a platform you do not control.

A Facebook page is not built to hold a page for each service or to answer a search like deck builder Fruitport, and the platform can change its rules whenever it likes. A website you own can do all of that. It gives Google something substantial to read about your services and towns, and gives a new customer one clear place to see your work, hours and phone number without logging in.

Geography shapes the site too. Muskegon Lake, White Lake and Mona Lake all connect to Lake Michigan, so a business serving lake homes or boaters may have customers spread from Montague down to Norton Shores. Many agencies would hand you a page-builder site for this, older technology that makes phones wait. A hand-coded site skips that weight, and you keep it no matter who you work with later.

What we would do first

The first things we would work on, before spending more money on reach.

A home base you control

A site and domain in your name, linked from your Facebook page and Google Business Profile, so your best content is not rented from a social platform.

Pages Google can match to searches

A page for each main service and for the communities you serve, from Muskegon and Muskegon Township to Fruitport and Whitehall.

Photos and reviews on your own site

Your real job photos and customer reviews presented on pages that load fast and do not depend on a social feed.

Calls from the first screen

A tap-to-call button, hours and service area right at the top, tested on real phones before launch.

Page-builder templates versus a hand-coded site for Muskegon County

Many local websites are built with drag-and-drop page builders. They are quick to set up, but they ship far more code than a page needs, and phones feel it first.

We get most of our work from Facebook. Why do we need a website?

Facebook works for people who already follow you. A website catches the customers who do not, the ones searching Google for your service in Muskegon or Norton Shores. Keep both and link them, so each one does its job.

Can the website show our Facebook posts?

It can link to them, but we usually keep social feeds off the main pages because they load slowly and change without warning. Your strongest photos and reviews work better as part of the site itself.

Do we need pages for both ends of the county?

If you work in both, yes. Customers in Whitehall and Montague to the north and in Norton Shores and Fruitport to the south search for their own towns, and each area deserves real local detail.

Do you work with businesses on the lakeshore?

Yes. We are based in Michigan and work with businesses statewide, including Google Ads for CAMP Landscape Management in Grand Rapids. Planning happens on video or phone calls, so distance is not an issue.
